If its road grease you are talking about, I've not found a 'long term' 
solution, but the best results I have had are using a soap solution once a year 
or so, and then using a proper good old fashioned chamois leather to dry the 
screen followed by a rinse and then use the leather to polish it. 

It works well enough to only need doing every couple of months, but the trick 
is not touch or wipe the screen to clear it - ever. I use the blower to clear 
the screen before driving.

But then again, this is my tin top... The Xtreme screen gets leathered every 
drive!
