Went down to Gosport to look another type of car and took the 2+2 RST and we
(wife Diane) and I decided to have an icecream on the shore and the bloke
serving noticed the 2+2 and asked what it was and when told said "how would my
Focus ST get on against it"? I surprised myself by being diplomatic and lied
when I told him we would have fun. In truth he would lose of course!
However finally I will get to the point, and tell you that as we neared home
the 2+2 backfired, suddenly all power was lost and I coasted into a lucky
positioned layby 2 miles from home, so we walked the rest, and after collecting
my "A" frame and Mondeo went back and dragged it home.
Today I fixed the fault which turned out to be the small permanently live wire
that is connected to the starter main lead live from the battery which had
fractured and fallen off.
I wish alll problems were so easy to fix.
