The standard Quantum system doesn't work like that.
The motor always runs in the same direction.
There relay switchs the power to one of 2 contacts inside the modified
wiper motor.
The motor runs until the contact inside moves onto the unpowered section
of the contact disc.
When you switch the lights on or off the relay switches the power to the
other section of the disc in the motor and the motor runs again until it
moves off of that section of the contact disc.
So the motor always runs in the same direction but stops in two
positions corresponding to open or closed.
