Thanks guys, I knew it wasn't from the donor car as they only have a bonnet 
release which is used for the bonnet on the 2+2 so it has to be either 
something fitted by the builder that they had lying around or that the kit 
was supplied with hence hoping someone would have a similar one on their 
car.
I haven't tried Quantum cars yet but will give them ago if I can't find out 
elsewhere.
Alternatively I might look at a solenoid set up, I could put the button in 
the B post where the original pull cable was mounted.
