Hi Keith I have known of one Quantum where a single 10" sub was mounted in there. However the car was burnt out before any problems could arise. The oval hole in the rear panel inside the boot did cause a structural difference when Quantum cut them in. However it was deemed that the difference was negligible compared to the convenience of having access to the extra room. The panel at the rear of the seats is very thick in order to retain structural rigidity. My personal recommendation is not to cut into this area.
