Hi Jim, I thought that as well originally, however now I have everything in bits on my garage floor, I find that the webbing / framework at the bottom of the Zetec engine does not allow me to get the starter motor into the bell housing on the original gearbox. Also, on the other side, similar webbing clashes with the driveshaft.
It is possible to remove the lower part of the engine block but I really don't want to start splitting the engine up and start working on the internals - This is one of the reasons I'm swapping the CVH out as I don't want to re-build it again. Hence why I'm now confronted with having to put the MTX75 box in. Any advice?
