Dear Andy H, A question that would be of interest to many. We have tried the club insurance with Adrian Flux again for our second family member (Pamela) and they are underwritten by different companies, in both cases we were told they did not require the club membership number and there is no note of the QOC on the paperwork. This latest time we are being asked for full copies of our driving licenses for all drivers. (We have been driving for more years than we care to remember and this has never happened to us before in any insurance and is of interest if you think of ID theft and how useful driving license details are) Is this correct for the club insurance? It all looks wrong.
I already have a policy with them for my Avion three wheeler and they have been fine, but last renewal they gave me 10% off because of a declaration of belonging to a motor club. Any club will do apparently, and they did not check. Are we actually getting a club deal or just a 10% discount? Also they did not ask for full copies of driving licenses either. Yet it is the same three people. Likewise Colin's insurance with them, no requirement for our three licences.
