Hi All,

I too have used AF over the years never took up insurance with FJ as they
were always more expensive even with club discount. As for asking for a
copy of peoples driving license this is not done just for kit cars also now
for production cars and is becoming more common place when insuring a
vehicle and is covered by company data protection. I was put on my brothers
insurance this year and I had to send a copy of my DL for that as a named
driver so I think its just another check/precaution that insurance
companies are doing. As for recovery AF ask me and I said not required as I
have been a member of the AA for many years so my premium was reduced by
around £30.00 so I have no complaints, my insurance this year stayed the
same for the H4 with an agreed value and over all have found them very
helpful.
