Richard,
I am not familiar with the H4 but if it is like the previous Fiesta
ones the plate sliges into two grooves in the body of the lock once it
has been put through the hole in the boot lid and holds the lock in
tension. Do not forget to seal the outside of the lock against the boot
lid or you may get water ingress.

Hi, I've just bought an H4i with a number of small issues to fix.
Can someone kindly tell me how to fix the boot lock onto the boot
lid? What I have is the boot lock and a small plate bent in the
middle at 90 degrees with a cut out on the one side and a small hole
on the opposing side and for the life of me I cannot figure out how
you attach/lock the plate ont the boot lock. Am I missing another
part or am I just thick?
Regards
Richard
