Not sure what you mean by after filling up, then unlocking the aero cap. The tank should have two breather connections on it. A large (~1/2") one connected to the original sierra filler unit near the top to allow displaced air out when filling up. A small (~5mm) one connected to a valve assembly, this allows venting to atmosphere during running but shuts if the car turns over so it doesn't leak.
I modified my aero filler cap to include the branch for the large breather, as I'd heard of some people having problems with filling rate/splash back when they had just blanked it off. James.
