I too get the pressure build up, more so when the tank is low. I do have the correct vent and have lived with the problem, I assumed the fuel return is over pressurising to tank. I also struggle to fill the tank fast. Fortunately it is mostly vapour I get, not fuel. Ideas welcome... I will add it to the list of jobs!
