You may find some part numbers, but in the past I've found these don't match to any current lift-o-mat units. The other way is to see if it shows how many Newtons marked on the unit, and measure the open and closed lengths - It may then be possible to match it to any manufacturer's catalogue. Hi, My little 2+2 is finally getting some attention from my dad with the intention of getting it ready for the road but it needs a few bits doing, it needs new gas struts for the boot lid, I know they are lift-o-mat units but can't work out what the rest of the numbers are, was there a standard strut from a modern car that was used or did each builder use whatever they had around or could get to fit? Secondly the fabric roof fits fairly well except above the drivers and passengers windows, it looks like it has shrunk width wise and so when it rains the seats and floor get wet. We have used a cover on it so far but hopefully soon I will have passed my test and will be driving it, but parking up and having to put a cover on isn't very cool, is there a fix for this or is it needing a new hood?
