VIC checks are done at VOSA - You could ring them and ask, as (unlike DVLA)
they seem to be helpful and consistent with their advice. VIC checks were
being done when I had my saloon SVA'd - they only spent a few minutes on
each one (I saw the process whilst awaiting the trailer to return my saloon
home after SVA)

Subject: [Quantum Owners] DVLA Engine Change
Hi all. I have had another engine put in my 2+2. Before it was a 1.6, I am
now running a 1.8 Zetec.
I've yet to send off the V5C form as I simply have no idea what I need to
send with it. Some people say I need a VIC check but the DVLA website says
you can provide something on headed paper from an MOT station stating the
engine is all fine and fitted correctly etc. I rang a few MOT station and
when I mention this, they either have no idea about it or suggest I have a
VIC check.
So, what do I do? Thanks.
