It's possible that if the owner was known to the garage, or if they
weren't paying much attention then it might get through the MOT
incorrectly registered but they are supposed to report it to the DVLA.
You should be able to see what the car is registered as here

Try it as a Ford first, then also Quantum or Quantum kit

however the owner says he will be able to put a full years MOT and is

club, because it is currently registered as a Ford. I understand
that there is a special policy available to younger drivers,
offered by certain insurers in connection with the club. Also, the
car no longer has a 1.6 engine fitted, so is correctly registered
with the engine it currently has (a 1.1 litre ohv).
Any help with this would be most appreciated, and I look forward
to hearing your thoughts.
