Is there a groove there for a O ring on the spigot that goes into the head ?
Or is there space around the spigot when the spray bar is bolted on ?

We use Polymax for O rings https://www.polymax.co.uk/ , make sure you get some suitable for high temperatures and oil, a normal rubber O ring won't last long inside an engine.

Might be worth looking at copper or aluminium washers if there is no groove to go in.

Having said that, if the spigot is a good fit in the hole in the head they may not have been worried about a small bit of leakage.

Subject: [Quantum Owners] Pinto Oil Spray Bar

I'm about to order the parts so I can (finally) replace the cam shaft in
my Xtreme, but I currently cannot find a O ring for the oil spray bar.
Searching online there appears to be differing advice as to whether
these are required or not. When I removed my oil spray bar there was no
O ring and I'm wondering if this contributed to the wear and failure.
To me it would make sense to have a seal fitted to help ensure the
pressure is maintained into the spray bar.

I spoke to Burton and they don't stock these and possibly never have, so
it makes me wonder if they are required after all. Fordopedia doesn't
show any O ring - if you follow the line for components 17 and 18 I
would expect to see it listed between the head and component 16.

http://www.fordopedia.org/parts-catalog/pinto-ohc/B2.10

Has anyone a source for a suitable O ring, or do I just fit without?

Regards,
Steve
