Thanks Memo - Detour - Ian and anyone else who replied to my mail... sorry if i sounded exasperated in the "please help" email - Thats because I was!! I think I've found the problem.. It seams my Mac book doesn't find my midi controler a few times I've plugged in, if I wasn't getting a signal when using reactor I could immediately see I wasn't so I'll turn off the unit plug back in turn on ... restart reactor and it usually fixes things.... I think what was happing with Quartz was I was trying to get the Midi receiver to work without getting a midi signal from my controller so naturally nothing was happening, plus a bit of confusion on my part (new to Midi)... I've got up early this morning and have got that composion running A+ +, plus I've realised there is the midi setup in utilitys.. and all I need to do is click the rescan midi if I'm not getting a signal... (saves all the turning off and on again)

Thanks again.. hope the liked the patch... Regards Mark
