Sorry about the screenshots - I've attached the correct 2nd image and a
couple more.
I think you are correct about the multiple images being imported as
archival descriptions. It turns out these item-level descriptions actually
do show up in a search (see the last screenshot). But the images are also
presented as digital objects attached to the fonds-level description, so I
think it would make sense to include a thumbnail at the fonds level, and
otherwise identify the higher level description as having digital objects
(e.g. for the purpose of the advanced search).
