What a great idea. Yes, farms sell fresh produce here. I'm sure I will get all my veggies grown but the grapes need time to establish and fruit trees, also. I have had this place 20 years. You would think I would have already done this. I lost my son and husband within 14 months of each other. After that, everything went to hell. I was doing good just to get the lawn mowed. A couple of years ago a new neighbor got me interested again in flowers. So, I have gone plant crazy though most I am doing in containers due to a low back problem. I realized how much I enjoyed gardening; it was so soothing for my soul.
What is CSA? Your yard and soil fits mine perfectly. I am going to take out 2 small trees for my garden area. The snow and ice took a couple of very big branches off my weeping willow which now leaves my patio plants in all day sun! Our soil is also clay. I have to add to it each time I plant. For $30 an hour I am having a guy come in with a large tiller and till up all of my area that I want to use. I think he can do what I need in a couple of hours. I have a rotortiller but I cannot work it. Guess I will just resell it. What state are you in? I am in Oregon. Thanks for the nice inviting email. I hope to learn much from this site. Have you been on it long? I must get my chores done so I can finish painting the livingroom. Have a super week!
