To limit the number of mutual funds loaded into AB you must start with a new
database
and DO NOT CHECK MUTUAL FUNDS when creating the database. Then take the list
of
mutual funds you use to limit SPP/Quotes Plus from loading, and load it into
Amibroker
with the ASCII wizard. Be sure to check the no quotes feature, and identify the
group as
Mutual Funds. This will create the headers that the QP plug-in uses to read
the quotes.

The list of funds I use has the ticker and full name on it. I like to edit the
names so they
don't waste a lot of space (e.g. Fidelity Select xxxx becomes Fid Sel xxxx) and
you can
load the names into AB with the ASCII wizard at the same time.

This is a lot of work, but makes things faster and cleaner working with funds.
I got rid of
most of the adivisor only funds and load funds.

To add a fund back in, just go to symbol ->Add symbok and input your ticker and
name.
