Someone else with a Juno-G? Amazing. Maybe offlist we should collaborate our findings and se what we might be able to teach eachother. I have a lot of midi files I could send you if your interested, all using the stock sounds. Anyway on topic message, the local on/off for the Juno-G is easy in the menus yes, thankfully Roland have a fairly decent menu layout but not everybody does. Also, local messages are listed in the midi implementation chart and yet are not accepted by the keyboard. I have no idea why Roland and now it seems Yamaha, have bothered to implement them and not actually make use of them?

Hi

Can't say anything about the motif, but in my Juno-G there is somewhere an
option where you can toggle external midi controller messages on and off.
This seems to be off by default. I believe the same applies also for your
keyboard since the QWS' local off / on switch doesn't neither work for me.
My workaround for this was just learning the menu route.
