Roger, 

Following your advice, I found out that “terra-1.7-37 is failing on 
"r-devel-linux-x86_64-debian-clang”. It turns out that the CRAN version of 
“terra” is now 1.7-39. So, it might be that Rob has fixed the problem, and the 
issue is that CRAN is checking an old version.
