It is a fair point. Given a sufficiently radical challenge to a sufficiently 
corrupt system, it is impossible "a priori" to distinguish between a nutjob and 
an authentic revolutionary.

Then again, that same problem exists for non-spiritual actors.  Arguably 
including ourselves. :-)

That could actually be one reason why Old Testament prophets made predictions, 
as a way to  independently validate their spiritual power (and thus authority).
