You're right, for the near future is a hobby. My primary learning/activism spheres are family, Apple, and church ( where I just became a part-time, unpaid pastor). But I still consider those as facets of my larger RC ambition. What I'm trying to do in all those spheres us identify useful projects that are useful in themselves but also expand both my skills AND the trust that other people have in me. In particular, I am continually trying to identify people in positions of power near me, and working to create concrete deliverables that inspire them to place ever-bigger bets on me. It can be slow, painful and circuitous. If I perceive wrongly, I apologize. If you are serious about producing something explicitly optimized for other people to consume, I'd be happy to help you design both the product and the process. But if you just want to do your own thing, that's fine too.
