I mentioned that earlier in this thread, but suggested that Volume knob click 
is actually Snooze, which I think makes more sense, as I think that Volume knob 
click does a Mute action normally (rather than stop).

Therefore:
Power or Pause/Stop = Turn music off (therefore stopping the alarm).
Volume knob click = Snooze (and perhaps another click = resume from snooze if 
it is pressed accidentally).

No need for a dialog, or any other complexity.

I hate the intention to abuse yet again the big navigation knob for 
non-navigation things.

And if there were an Alarm Timeout = 0 means no timeout, meaning no alarm mode, 
then Volume knob click would have the normal effect of mute instead of Snooze.
