Ok...Finally got everything working. It was the CODE2000.ttf font that caused the problem.
Found another free font "wt011.ttf" from an education institution from the link below. It is actually a smaller file size font. http://apt.nc.hcc.edu.tw/pub/FreeSoftware/free_fonts/wangttf/ I strongly suggest to do this with cable ethenet so in case you mess up, you have better chance of recovering. Warning: Make sure you have the FreeSans.ttf in the radio or the radio will keep rebooting...crashing cycle. If that happens, logon with SCP before it crash and copy the original 2 fonts back to the directory. (You have just enough time to do that before crash if you act fast) 1. Download the font wt011.ttf and rename it to FreeSans.ttf 2. Enable SSH logon of the radio. 3. Use SCP to back up the original 2 fonts in the /usr/share/jive/fonts/ directory. 4. Use SCP to copy the newly downloaded font to the same directory and overwrites the original FreeSans.ttf font. 5. Use putty to logon to the radio. 6. Change directory to /usr/share/jive/fonts/ (cd /usr/share/jive/fonts/) 7. Create symlink of FreeSansBold.ttf to point to FreeSans.ttf. (ln -sf FreeSans.ttf FreeSansBold.ttf) 8. Check with ls -l command. You should now have 2 files. One is FreeSans.ttf of about 6.3MB and a symlink of FreeSansBold.ttf pointing to FreeSans.ttf. 9. Log off SCP and putty. 10. Reboot the radio. -- Honva ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Honva's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14948 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=74977 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
