I am experiencing the loss of sound also. All sound including the user interface beeps stop. I connected speakers to the headphone jack and still had no sound. For me it happens right in mid-stream. One minute the radio is happily playing either local or internet media and bingo - the sound just goes away. Rebooting always seems to fix it. Though rebooting will be much more of a hassle once I get the battery installed (when ever that is released, March 31??). I assume I'll have to turn the radio over and remove the battery to do a reboot.
