My SBR did this again last night. No sound at all, not even in the UI. Oddly enough, I went to sleep and it was fine. Woke up and it was in no-sound-mode (luckily it was Saturday so no alarm was programmed; dunno what would have happened if I had an alarm due, but probably I'd have missed the bus!) Reboot via the power button seems to be the only solution. Next time it happens I'll ssh in and check the log files.
Running the standard 7.4.1 system. I guess it's happened about 3 times now, so maybe this problem occurs once every 3-4 weeks?
