You can have as many installs of sbs as one desires, but it can get confusing as the one on your laptop would be a different instance of the program (and your players would have to connect to one or the other). As suggested, as long as you're on the same local area network, you can simply point your browser at the IP address of the computer running the SbS and you can control that primary instance of SbS. Makes life simpler. I can control my SbS from my laptop, my wife's laptop, a netbook from the back patio, etc. But they are all pointing to the SbS running on the actual machine that runs 24/7 serving music to all my SBs.
