I am a bit of a SB junkie/fan and technophile, so I don't consider my own views representative, but your post does help a lot in bringing a real-world perspective. I appreciated it a lot.
A company I used to work for had a very good slogan summing up the aspiration I have for technology products, which is "Sense and Simplicity."
