The radio is definitive not hi-fi quality but sound is quite rich and sweet. It beats a lot of much bigger boom boxes. I was quite surprised of such quality from a clock radio. It is quite enjoyable in a casual setting. If yours is that bad, you may have a defective one. Try to call Logitech for a replacement.
