Although the SB Boom sound quality is very good as is, I was really amazed
by the sound quality, primarily range, when I connected a subwoofer to it.
There are many subwoofers out on the market, some very expensive, but some
for under a hundred dollars. I got a Yamaha YSTSW216BL when it went on sale
for about $98. However, you could use the subwoofer component of a spare
computer speaker system which has one and it would increase the sound
quality of your Boom system. Unfortunately, the SB radio does not have the
ability to add a subwoofer. Maybe in a future edition?

Subject: Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio sound quality... 'lacking'

For audio quality I'll take my Boom over Radio any day. But Radio is no
slouch, especially considering it is a small mono speaker unit.

Couple of things to try:
- reposition it
- the more table/counter space in front of it the better the bass
response
- Internet Radio > Search > *avro*, these are very good quality
streams (192k to 320k)
- if Avro sounds bad then you either have a dud or your ears are far
better than mine (either is entirely possible) ;)
