For anyone not following the bug-report.

It seems that the bug is already fixed in version 7.5 of
squeezeboxserver (you'll find it here
http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.5).
If you install it, the radio will soon install firmware 8661 (or
higher).
I don't know what other funny stuff you'll get with 7.5 though, didn't
try it yet :)

I guess ghost alarms won't happen there.

Users with mysqueezebox.com can download the code from here:
http://svn.slimdevices.com/jive/7.5/trunk/squeezeplay/src/squeezeplay/share/applets/AlarmSnooze/AlarmSnoozeApplet.lua?revision=8455&view=co

You should use WinSCP to connect to your radio then navigate to
/usr/share/jive/applets/AlarmSnooze/AlarmSnoozeApplet.lua

Just replace the content with the file linked above and restart the
radio (long hold the power button).

If something is not working as like, you can always revert the original
firmware (somewhere under advanced settings you can reinstall the
firmware).
