I have the radio wake me in the morning, I listen for an hour or so while I'm getting ready, and then leaving for work. I get home, put the radio on while I'm getting changed, having tea, and then depending on what's on I listen for another couple of hours or that's all until bed, when I occasionally listen for another half an hour or so. I put the fact that the alarm has NEVER woken me up properly down to me not reading the instructions properly, and decided when I remember, I'll set it up and it'll be ok. I put the fact that it wont connect to mysqueezebox.com down to it being upstairs and too far from the router, deciding that I'll remember to move them both and it'l be ok. Imagine my delight when today I remember, re-arrange both the firmware, the factory re-set, move the router, re-set the router, re-set my laptop and then find out that the reason it doesn't work, is actually, because it doesn't work. Of the time I've owned the squeezebox, which is very attractive, and when it did work (for the first afternoon / following morning after buying it) it sounds fantastic - but it's also worked for maybe 3-4 hours out of the three weeks I've owned it. I bought a Roberts Stream 83i and have used it for 10 hours a day monday to friday in work. It's not so much as re-buffered. It looks ugly, but it works. I switched it on, put in the wireless details, and that was it. And as for needing the mysqueezebox.com network to listen to bbc radio, that's ridiculous. It's like buying a ferrari, only to find out after you've bought it and driven it home, seeing the "remaining range" guide is down to "2 miles" and then be told it runs on unicorn blood.
