Completely agree that the whole battery situation has been a first-class CF from day one - apparently the stock in the US warehouse was only enough to cover a small fraction of the orders, and it took the factory about 6 weeks to build more batteries and/or remotes. During that time, there was zero official communications from Logitech (except a consumer satisfaction survey which all of us waiting got, and we all let them have it), and one post here from Mickey G. telling us "out of stock, factory making more, can't promise a delivery date." However, I'm not sure the situation would be much better with another consumer electronics company. In another situation, I bought a new router about a year ago, started noticing problems with wireless connectivity, only to discover that it was a known problem with the firmware that the manufacturer refused to acknowledge; a user's site had the old firmware on it, to which I downgraded, and the problem went away. It took six more months for the company to even admit there was a problem - on release of the new firmware that fixed the problem. Customer service is the strong suit of very few companies. And when a company has something as good as the Squeezebox line...I tend to forgive them a bit. -- kmr ------------------------------------------------------------------------ kmr's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10664 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77459 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
