Bluegaspode -- your deductions seem to be right on the mark. This is the problem I'm having... 5-10 secs of the station I've selected, then some crazy, loud disco loop (from the library, I guess, though I've been unable to find it).
I'm all for editing the backup alarm file you mentioned. Where do I find and edit this file? On the radio? thanks a million - this has been driving me nuts!
