I can't speak for what "minor annoyances" RichardDavies is seeing, but I'm not having any of the problems you mention. It probably has something to do with running a local SBS.
My SB Radio's clock drifts by about 40-60 seconds per week, so I have to do a full power off and restart once a week to get it to sync to a time server.
