I too have been having the same problems with the alarm as follows: 1) Alarm will play my current playlist for 30 seconds 2) "Barn Fire" will kick in
I have a temporary solution I am using that I will describe below that should work for anything that can be favourited. I must first admit that I'm not an expert and that I don't know the underlying technical reasoning - only what I observed empirically works for me. Hope it can help anyone who is having similar trouble. And praying Logitech will address this alarm issue soon. It seems that mysqueezebox.com is sending a duplicate alarm "signal" - which in my case kicks in about 30 seconds after the time on my Squeezebox Radio. (Maybe that clock is 30 seconds slower?) When I check on the "Player" section on mysqueezebox.com and look at the "Alarms" tab, it only has options for the built in sounds (no playlists or radio stations). So I suspect that it always displays "Barn Fire" because that is the default selection when one chooses something other than what's on this "Alarm Sound" list on their Squeezebox. True enough, I changed the sound here and it plays that sound instead of "Barn Fire" I deleted all the alarms and reset my Squeezebox to factory default. The software is 7.5.0r8673. I only listen to NPR radio news in the morning so I set KPCC Radio to be one of my Favourites. When you add something to your Favourites, it then appears on the "Alarm Sound" list. I set the alarm sound to KPCC Radio and it has been working ever since.
