Well, for stuff that may or may not be in writing when you buy the product, apple fails to support their existing customer base without selling them new hardware. Iphone has a camera, but can't take videos? Supports bluetooth, but no stereo music profile? (now fixed) ipad claims to have the "whole internet", but no flash, no java means you can't do a lot of things that I should be able to do on the "whole" internet. ipad supports memory cards with an optional adapter, but not for storing music? What is this "game" they are playing? These are all things the common sense consumer would assume it could and should do since their competitors do. So it might all be in writing somewhere about what it does and doesn't do, or supports or doesn't but dropping future support of old hardware IS something apple does... Which is what I was comparing Logitech. Both companies fail to support hardware for more than a few years. New versions of software do not support things that seemingly should on old hardware or you're forced to buy new hardware simply because the support is so bad, or the product no longer performs as it did when purchased. The fact that I can't play some of my itunes DRM'd songs on squeeze without burning a CD and ripping them back to MP3, or use all of the features on my not that old logitech keyboard is just flat out bad support from companies who have collected a good amount of my money over the years. Yet like Stockholm syndrome we continue to support their bad behavior and even excuse it. -- zimmer62 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ zimmer62's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38140 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77459 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
