Mine is 99.9% reliable as outputting some sound with a local server, in
most of the cases it also starts with the correct music. However, I have
quite long alarm timeout (45 minutes) and in most of the cases it
switches to the fallback alarm during this time, I'm surprised the
mornings it doesn't. Mine problem according to the logs is that there
is a brief network problem and this immediately switches to the
fallback alarm. I never have any problem when playing normally, it only
happens when using alarms. I suspect the network problems might also
happen when listen normally but the audio buffering is probably able to
hide it unless listening to alarms.
I'm normally using a local server running inside virtualbox on my main
24/7 server but I've also tried with a Sheevaplug and had similar
problems.
I'm using the official 7.5.1 release.
