Hi

About 2 months ago my SBR prompted an upgrade to 7.6.0 (r8934) - my SBS
was running the latest 7.6 build. I thought great, another update and
accepted it. However, ever since the update my SBR is constantly
dropping the wireless connection to my router. It doesn't matter
whether I stream via SBS or mySB.com, the SBR will drop the wireless
connection with alarming frequency. Below are the details of the
behaviour. Now my SBR was completely stable before the upgrade from
7.5.1 to 7.6.0. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?
Did the 7.6.0 (r8934) upgrade overwrite files that were not then
subsequently overwritten by the 7.5.1 downgrade? I've not touched my
router; there has been no change to its firmware or the settings. An
example of my SBR log is attached should someone be able to decipher
what is going on.

Okay. So here is what happens. When I am streaming (SBS or mySB.com),
the SBR will go quiet and the wireless icon goes red. I'll say now that
at no point does it ever go blue. After the wireless icon turns red, I
have two options. I can either attempt a reconnect or I can turn the
SBR off and on. When I attempt a reconnect, I get the options: 'Try
again' and 'Choose Different Network'. Selecting 'Try again' doesn't
seem to do much. When I select 'Choose Different Network' and then
'Connect to a wireless network', I get the usual list of available APs.
Among the listed APs is my own router. However, the wireless-strength
icon for my router shows no bars whatsoever (i.e. it is completely grey
rather than white). Nevertheless, I can select my router and the SBR
will attempt a reconnect. It may connect but more often than not it
fails. I can then keep trying until it eventually connects, which it
will do eventually. However, on successfully reconnecting, the SBR
freezes with the big blue ring and the connected confirmation. I can
now hear the stream, but the screen hangs with the big blue ring and
none of the buttons work. At this point, the only option is to press
and hold the power button to turn the SBR off. Rather than attempting
a reconnect when the wireless drops, I can instead turn the SBR off and
on. Following the power on, the SBR fails to reconnect to the router
and so I am presented with only three menu items: Now Playing, My Music
and Settings. In order to reconnect to my router, I have to go through
Settings->Advanced->Networking->Choose Network. This time, the router
is both listed and the wireless icon shows full strength (i.e. the icon
is completely white rather than grey). However, it again takes several
attempts before the SBR will everntually reconnect to the router. But
when it does reconnect, there is at least no freeze. Phew.

When the screen of the SBR freezes with the blue connect ring, it is
still possible to open a ssh to the SBR. It seems that the SBR is
constantly polling APs every 5 secs. Here is a snippet from the SBR
log:

This just keeps going on, and on, and on....

The SBR is clearly struggling to talk to my router, but I have changed
nothing on the router side and the SBR was perfectly stable up until
the 7.6.0 upgrade.

Below is my setup and attached is an example of my SBR log when trying
to reconnect. I really do hope someone can help.

Many thanks
