One thing I'm concluding at this point is that I take risks when using a firmware build that is not specifically downloadable from within a running server build. How true that is, I don't know, but when I was running 7.6 (which contained firmware 8934) with firmware 9009 downloaded from MySB.com, the combination scrambled my favorites big time and who knows what else. And I might mention, that I was also having dropped connection issues with 7.6 which "seeems" (too soon to tell) to have disappeared since returning to server release 7.5.1. But in theory, this shouldn't matter since I almost exclusively connected to MySB.com and rarely to my SB Server. But it took only one connection instance of a firmware<->server mismatch to scramble things for me. Of course, as I've found here, your mileage will vary. I just don't know to what extent firmware releases are meant to be coupled only with certain server releases.
