I've got my Radio beside me here, and it seems I can enable/disable the alarm by:
1) Pressing the Alarm button on the Radio once (to get into the Alarm setup screen). 2) Pressing the big wheel once (to enable/disable all alarms). So, it takes me 2 button presses, and 2 seconds to do it. No time spent waiting for connecting to the network here. If I want to adjust the alarm time, I: 1) Press the Alarm button. 2) Twist the wheel to the right (one "click"). 3) Press the wheel to select the active alarm. 4) Press the wheel to adjust the time. 5) Press the wheel to adjust minutes instead of hours. 6) Twist the wheel a bit, until I'm satisfied with the time. 7) Press the wheel. Ok, that takes more than 2-3 seconds, but then again, the Radio isn't a mechanical alarm clock, which is what you want if you're after a device that is specialised to wake you up. The classical mechanical alarm clock's design has been refined by a community of countless manufacturers, over several decades. It is the optimal solution for its narrow purpose. There simply is no beating it when it comes to waking people up effectively. Comparing a network music player with an alarm feature, to a specialized alarm clock, isn't realistic. -- Soulkeeper -that is not dead which can eternal lie. and with strange aeons even death may die.- duet + boom + radio (+touch on the way) / wrt160n/dd-wrt / sbs 7.5.x/win7 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Soulkeeper's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35297 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=81516 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
