I don't understand :( I'm sure 0xdeadbeef isn't imagining things, but neither am I when I say that apart from a bug at the start (which didn't let me set the alarm at the right time) I've had no problems with my Radio at all. None. I bought it in launch week and, until I gave up using alarms altogether, used it as my primary alarm every day. It has never failed in any way, however I have used or configured it (not just the alarm, the whole device).
So, I simply don't recognise the descriptions given by those who have had so much trouble. I'm thankful I've avoided it, and consider my experience some kind of proof that whatever flaws exist are neither by design or universal. I would never think of my Radio -- or any specific physical consumer electronics product, ie the exact one I own -- as being identical in both experience and hard product to all other owners/users. It confuses me when I see people who've had negative experiences be so sweeping. As it happens, the phones I've owned in the past 2 years have all failed in numerous ways as alarm clocks, yet I've friends with the same models who have had no such problem.
