Correct, no transcoding on MySB. But MySB is not needed at all under certain conditions. Example: If your Radio is connected to SBS and you select a direct stream URL to a station then MySB need not even be online at that moment (down for maintenance?), and that stream will play fine. VBR? Variable Bit Rate? I can't imagine why that would have any playback issues of a properly formatted stream. If I remember correctly the mms issue has more to do with how it is presented. These players use the http format for streams so mms format streams confuse the players. I believe one workaround was to email the station and request that they simply check a single box in their streaming software to use http format as well as mms. When the player connects to the stream it can then pick the format that is compatible to that player. Again, bpa is the real expert on this whole issue, and I may be misrepresenting (or forgetting) the details of the mms playback issue. -- toby10 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=83720 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
