Count your blessings. My side of the bed a Boom that stays at the same level brightness wise throughout the night. Her side some cheap radio alarm that displays the time on the ceiling. Great except when you can't sleep and you notice that every hour on the hour it suddenly illuminates the entire room for 2-3 minutes ie gets a lot brighter. I have no idea why it does this, must be by design. I expect it is an alarm clock designed especially for women as it seems to me that she has to use the loo at least once an hour no matter what time of day or night :)
