I'm having the same problem, running 7.5.4. I have two devices, an SB2 and a Duet, and both exhibit the same problem: frequent disconnection from the server (evidenced on the Duet by the LED going blue, and eventually by running out of buffer and stopping playing).
It reconnects/redisconnects periodically, and I usually only get about a minute or two of play. I have a very solid wireless connection on an 802.11n network on a Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH and I don't see any throughput problems on other devices. However, I tried plugging the SB2 in to a wired network and it definitely played longer.... Things were working fine before on a crappy Netgear 802.11g router and an older version of the server (sorry, I am not sure what was there before I upgraded). Something is not right. This sucks -- both slim devices simply no longer work, and I've already put about 3 or 4 hours in to debugging them with no luck.
