Thank you for taking the time to answer!

I don't think it's my network. I use a very, very popular (in Germany)
high-quality router with stock configuration.

The model is AVM Fritz!Box 7320. I think they aren't well known outside
of Germany, but are THE premium router brand here (and they do little
else. They're not rebranding popular chinese ODMs, they do their own
engineering), and are also OEMs to some ISPs, including the second
largest one.

So if it is my network, it's high time either Logitech or AVM (or both)
look into this.

But you're right; seems like the SB Radio really does lose connection
to the network, not just the server. It's just the Radio though. The
Controller, Receivers, the iPhone, the MacBook, the MacBook Pro, and
guests' machines have never had a problem with this network, and signal
strength to the radio is always 100% as long as it's connected.

OH!

I've just found this in my Router's log: *WiFi connection from SBRadio
failed: Authorization failed.*

Interesting that it seems to work the first time the radio boots -
every time. But not afterwards. That doesn't explain why the Radio
needs to reconnect, but it does explain why this isn't successful. This
sounds like a firmware bug to me.
