Yes, I think you are right. I have fiddled with the settings and all
kinds of things and got my one radio working perfectly. However, the
other one is just a good-looking paperweight. I use it as a powered
speaker for my mp3 player, or I use my Android phone and run RadioTime
on it, and patch the output through the Line-in of the SBR.

So, I am using my phone as the wireless receiver (using wifi),
completely taking the wireless of the radio out of the picture.

This works great-I can listen all day this way.
