Bomm did it not use tripath digital amps and digital xover and eq ? I'm not sure about radio at all, just throwing in some speculations. why not 100% thats how the Touch works afaik only output from DAC changes . 100% does not need to be a lot of gain=noise , the gain scaling could be sane. However the problem could be possible to solve if I'm wrong and the volume data goes to an vca an analog side.
