I just got my UE Radio and did the upgrade to Squeezebox (in the UK). Went flawlessly - I powered it on, gave my wifi key. It did a UE firmware download and rebooted, taking a couple of minutes in total. Then went to the 'advanced' menu in configuration and selected the option to revert to Squeezebox. Another firmware download and and reboot, again in a few minutes. Re-entered the wifi key and entered my 'mysqueezebox.com' login and I was up and running as a new Squeezebox radio. Can't have taken much more than 20 minutes from power-on to running a Squeezebox.
What a great piece of hardware. Why oh why did Logitech have to go and mess up the marketing of the Squeezebox line? Still, full marks to them for making it easy to convert UE to Squeezebox, at least they listened to their customer base on that issue. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ slimfast's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=29669 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=100162 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
